We have just heard that Lt Cdr Harry Dormer RD RNR has crossed the bar on 31 May 2025 at the grand old age of 96. He was at sea all his life from the age of 16 and served in the greatest Cunard ships, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary, the maiden voyage of QE2 and others such as the Mauretiania, Caronia, Francobia and Carmania and some cargo ships. His last commission in the RNR was HMS CAVALIER. His funeral is on Friday 4th July 2025 at 2.30pm at Octon Crematorium Driffield YO25 3BL.
