Robin Gainsford has advised us of the passing of his Dartmouth term mate Hew Granlund in Portsmouth Hospital following a short illness on 5 September 2026 at the age of 83. The funeral will tke place at All Saints Church, Steep just outside Petersfield GU32 2DF at 1400 on Saturday 3 October 2026. Hew was the last TASO onboard HMS Carysfort for her final commission relieving Roger Walker. Apart from being Robin’s term mate in 1962 he was also the First Lieutenant onboard HMS Zulu (1978-80) with your Webmaster and a personal friend of our Vice President. Fair winds and following seas.
