Our President, Sir Jeremy Blackham KCB has advised us that Roger E Welby-Everard crossed the bar on Saturday 7th March 2026 at the age of 83. He died at home with a glass of red wine in his hand watching the Italy v Engand 6 nations rugby match. He took early retirement from the RN on 6 March 1971 as a Lieutenant and served onboard HMS Resolution. Many years later he managed the website for the Naval Review when our President was Editor of the journal and he describes him as a jolly soul and good company. FaIr winds and following seas.
